Literature Text
In the mirror stands a beautiful
Girl.
She
smiles and waves with
grace and poise.
A satin black dress
hugs every curve,
winding down
Her
body
like a boa constrictor
wraps around its favourite meal.
She
gives a little show,
turning on a heal.
One smooth twirl.
But the fabric falls too quickly,
revealing
Her
secrets.
Arriving at the party
She's
excited to mingle.
Her
eyes follow the moving bodies.
She
longs to fit in
with the other curves.
Her
hips begin to sway.
She
closes
Her
eyes,
begging for the music
to take
Her
away.
A tap on
Her
shoulder
gives
Her
a fright.
She
turns to see
the eyes of fate.
A
Boy
is smiling,
"can it be at me?"
He
offers
His
hand
to the
Girl
in black.
The music still plays
and
She
begins to swoon.
The
Boy
holding
Her
now,
has no clue.
Their bodies move as one
as the dance carries on.
The sun begins to set
and the stars begin to break.
The
Girl
twirls outside,
with the
Boy
just behind.
He
grabs
Her
hand
and they start to dance,
one last time.
She's
lost in the moment.
Time is standing still.
The moon glows brighter
As the
Boy
holds
Her
close.
Looking into
His
eyes,
She
parts
Her
lips.
Wanting to release words
of passion
and utter bliss.
No sound escapes
Her
mouth,
instead a clock
chimes loudly.
"no"
She
whispers softly.
Her
delicate hands
pick up the folds
of
Her
dress.
Away
She
runs,
counting in
Her
head.
One.
She
flees into the trees.
Two.
She's
filled with unease.
Three.
Her
skin becomes rough .
Four.
Her
face sprouts scruff.
Five.
Her
chest feels lighter.
Six.
Her
dress becomes tighter.
Seven.
Her
shoes no longer fit.
Eight.
Her
dress begins to rip.
Nine.
Her
long hair begins to fall.
Ten.
She's
lost it all.
Eleven.
She
Thumps ungracefully on to the ground.
Twelve.
His
cries in to the night
don't make
a sound.

Literature
Trans: I am all this, but...
I have a female body.
I am feminine.
I like make-up.
I like jewelery.
I like perfume.
I love wearing dresses and other 'women' clothing.
But...
I am still a boy.
~~~
I have a male body.
I am masculine.
I like sports.
I like colone.
I'm fine with getting dirty.
I love wearing baggy shirts and pants, and other 'male' clothing.
But...
I am still a girl.
Literature
I Am A Transman
I tuck and I bind,
I pack and I grind,
But still somehow
I cannot find
The man inside
He wants out,
Let him free!
But he knows what you
Expect him to be
So I try to exceed
What you think of me
And make you change
How your thinking sees
Just a girl with small boobs
and a sock in her pants
But that's not me
You're just in a trance
Society's made you
Feel what they feel
And think what they think
Until it's not real
To hope that someday
You'll be who you need
Who you want
Who you feel
You really should be.
So I write this story
In hopes you'll find
That I'm still me
Whether I bind
Or hold my head high
Or look like
Literature
Cinquains - Transgender
I stand
here before you.
Naked. Vulnerable.
Born in the wrong body. What will
you see?
---
Gender
is a façade.
The fact remains that past
our sex we are all equally
human.
---
Gender
that's in my mind -
my true identity.
As opposed to sex what's between
my legs.
---
You see,
I don't love you
at least, not because of
what's between your legs. I love you
for you.
---
Alive
significant
real. When you recognized
and loved me as a transgender
woman.
---
Here is
my hand. For those
who differ in body,
mind, heart, spirit here I offer
a home.
My Freaky Darlings,
This is my own version of a Cinderella story. I'm doing a series inspired by being transgender. This is my kick off, a very crappy poem! This is my work in progress, I want to refine it, probably make it rhyme throughout the whole thing and give it a nicer look. I just thought for now I would put this one up.
It's definitely not my best work but I love the meaning.
EDIT
I didn't think this poem would get so big! Thank you to everyone who favourited or added it to a collection, and thank you for all the comments. I love hearing from people (: If I can move someone in their heart there is no better reward than that for something I've written~ so thank you everyone!
